2015 Sony World Photography Awards

The 2015 Sony World Photography Awards started accepting entries last year, ushering in a months-long competition poised to unearth the best emerging and professional photographers around the globe. 

The Huffington Past has been  following the contest since last September, showcasing the best entries submitted in categories like travel, arts and culture, landscape, nature and wildlife, architecture, people and contemporary issues. You can view their selection of 35 of the best shortlisted photos here

Australian, Gina Anderson Hicks Zol Straub and Melissa Little have been shortlisted. See their entries here.

If you are travelling a selection of the short-listed images will be exhibited at London’s historic Somerset House from 24 April — 10 May.
